Saturday, August 7, 1926. Calles rejects foreign mediation.

Calles rejected foreign mediation which had been offered in hopes of resolving the crises brought about by the Calles Law.

Spain, led by the dictator Miguel Primo de Rivera, and Italy, led by dictator Benito Mussolini, signed a Treaty of Friendship.

The first British Grand Prix was held.

It was a Saturday.
