The Art of Beverage, and other things, Containers

I've thought about putting up a page on this topic for some time (maybe a year. . . maybe two or more, well by this time maybe three or four, years), although it arguably strays even further from the expressed purpose of the blog. Still, there's too much innovation and thought that goes into beverage containers not to do this, so I am.

It's interesting how much art goes into commercial containers, some things more than other.  Beer cans, are a notable example.  Coffee as well.

Beer

There are a lot of beer cans and  bottles pictured here, I 'd note, which isn't an endorsement of any one brand, or to be taken that we're swimming in seas of beer. These were taken over a long period of time.

One reason that there is so many may be that beer, more than any other product, features a lot of wild designs and arts on containers.  It wasn't always this way, but seem to have become this way after the "craft" or local brewing boom of some time ago.

Fish appear on a lot of beer cans.  But why "two hearted"?






































Coffee

Coffee is one such item.  Some very artful coffee packages are put out for a product that's been around for a long time.  Maybe its the only product that rivals beer in this fashion.





This was a local coffee roaster.  It's now defunct.
