We had no winter to speak of, and now we're starting off a summer than isn't one. What causes the latter I have no idea, but it is not hot. It's not even warm.
This may in part be part of the difference between men and women. Women have more body fat naturally. My wife is far from fat, but she carriers more fat than do as she's female. I'm carrying more fat that I should as I have an office job where I don't get any exercise. But I'm not fat either.
What this means is that the house is now bitter cold.
The air conditioning system is thankfully out of order. I have no desire to replace it, although I was presented with some options to do that yesterday. If it were up to me, I'd not have one. It never gets that hot here, but then it probably doesn't get that hot anywhere in my view. But now we have freezing indoor weather on a natural basis.
It's 52F outside right now. The back screen door is wide open. It's freezing in the house.
It will be all summer long.
