Kill Eagle (Waŋblí Kte), who had departed the Reservation with his followers due to firearms prohibitions, which precluded his band's ability to hunt, surrendered to the U.S. Army at the Standing Rock Agency. His band had apparently been in the larger Sioux band during Rosebud and Little Bighorn, but which had declined to fight in them, surrendered with him.
He would die at age 58 in 1885.
