Wednesday, November 8, 1911. Stop gambling. Progressives take 1911 Election.

The legislature of the Anhui Province voted to secede from Imperial China.

The County attorney of Laramie County warned that all gambling must stop in the county.

The situation in China continued to make the front pages, as did the big left wing gains in the 1911 election.

Left wing gains?

Oh my.  Chuck Gray is probably wetting his bed at the mere mention of the 1911 election.  Hageman is probably going to come out and insist that we go to war with 1911.

The 1911 Election was an off, off year election. I.e., very much an off year.

The Santa Fe railroad was boosting itself in the Denver press for tourism.

The Union Pacific was boosting California.

The May D&F tower in Denver was the subject of a cartoon.

The prominent downtown Denver landmark is still there.
