City councilors object to PacifiCorp’s retreat from renewables

Most Wyomingites, a lot of whom are imports of course from the southern oil producing states, are so wedded to the concept that if they make money from it it must be perfectly okay, believe global warming is a fib.  Their delusion is aided in that by the fact that most of them didn't live here when we still had really cold and long winters, so they think the weather they had in Lawton, Oklahoma, is the weather we're supposed to have here. And a lot of people are just willfully ignorant.

Renewables have been a weird, weird, issue in this election cycle.  Everyone should be supporting them to some degree, which doesn't mean supporting them in a wild unregulated fashion, but even though Wyoming is ideal for some types of solar, rooftop solar being one of them, every politician pretty much is opposing them.

Foster Friess, Chuck Gray, Harriet Hageman, and Reid Rasner would support pouring 10W30 on your kids Cheerios if the issue came up.

Well, good for Laramie.
