Georgian Josif Dzhugashvili, later known to the world as Stalin, who had become a father two days prior when his former landlady Maria Kuzakova gave birth to his illegitimate son Konstantin, illegally traveled to Saint Petersburg in order to link up with underground Bolsheviks there. He'd be arrested three days later.
His son Konstantin was a journalist and served as a colonel during World War Two. He was dismissed from the party after the war, but was not arrested. He died in 1996.
Stalin would have at least one additional illegitimate son.
