The Philippine House of Representatives voted to approve a resolution calling for a plebiscite on independence for the U.S. Territory. It was vetoed by U.S. Military Governor, Leonard Wood, but the legislature overrode the veto and the measure then went to the final consideration of U.S. President Coolidge, who vetoed the measure the following year.
The US and UK entered into an accord to address alcohol smuggling.
