Saturday, January 13, 1900. Insurrection counter factual.

John Barrett, former U.S. Ambassador to Siam (Thailand), claimed in a speech at Lake Forest College that the insurrection lead by Emilio Aguinaldo in the Philippines had been brought about by an anti-expansion speech made on January 9, 1899, by U.S. Senator George F. Hoar.

Seems rather strained, to say the least.

Last edition:

Friday, January 12, 1900. The Ford Detroit Automobile Company electric delivery van, Ford's first public offering, introduced.
