Henry Ford introduced his first commercial automobile, a two seat electric delivery wagon.
The vehicle was the produce of the newly formed, and short lived, Detroit Automobile Company.
The truck was plagued with problems, but it does provide an interesting example of how early on electric vehicles competed with gasoline and steam vehicles in the market. The current horror in some quarters on a vehicle being electric did not exist at the dawn of the motor age.
