A blog dedicated to exploring the practice of law before the internet. Heck, before good interstate highways for that matter.
I'm posting on my facebook page. Should be interesting the responses, if any, I get. We'll see what happens.
LeAnn, let me know if you get any interesting responses. I actually became aware of this item from the Facebook post of a friend, and I note that he didn't get too many "likes" in response. Punching myths in this are is, I suspect, not popular.
No responses. :-( I was hoping it would prompt at least one friend of mine to read and consider it, as he and I have had "conversations" about this exact topic before. He seems to be open to learning more and understanding, though he was taught from the perspective of the Lost Cause, etc. He has been a bit busy lately with a one month old daughter.
Well that's unfortunate. This just seems to be a topic that people don't want to reconsider. Indeed, the recent news on the Confederate battle flag seems to have made it even more of a symbol to some than it had been, and if anything caused the myths to fix a bit tighter.
