It might just be me or the NRCS employees, but I've went into the local NRCS office a few times, and I'm always pretty irritated by the time I leave.

I don't know if it would be worth the hassle of dealing with NRCS to get all the "free" money from grants or cost-share programs they talk about in articles like this one.

And, I always scratch my head trying to figure out how it's "sustainable" to give out a bunch of money in programs like EQUP or CSP so that people will build electric fences or put in water lines.

Of course after saying all that, I'll looked into the EQUP program and I'm already doing almost all that needs to be done to qualify. The question now is, is it worth it to get some of that "free money" if it means I have to deal with the NRCS?
