Meanwhile. . . in Canada the Globe and Mail tells Harry and Meghan have a nice vacation. . . and then leave.

The Globe & Mail is a major Canadian newspaper.  It opined:

Harry and Meghan, and why members of the Royal Family can’t live in Canada

In it, it states:
You are welcome to visit, but so long as you are senior royals, Canada cannot allow you to come to stay.
I'll be frank, I don't think the British monarchy makes any sense of any kind anymore.  Queen Elizabeth II ought to be the last British monarch and they ought to pack the whole thing in following her.  She's be a nice bookend to the monarchy, having lived a dignified life and having witnesses as an adult the modern British "finest" hour, the collapse of the British Empire, and the emergence of the modern British state.

But a modern state doesn't need a royal. Time to wrap that up.

As for the opinion of the Globe & Mail, well follow the link and you can see what they have to say.
