Poster Saturday: Post World War Two National Guard advertisement.

An advertisement appealing to veterans of World War Two shortly after it had ended.  The copy writer was obviously trying to speak GI.

In thinking about this poster, I wonder how effective it was?

I'm sure the Guard was full of World War Two veterans right after WWII, but it seems to me that most of the Korean War Guardsmen I knew when I was in the Guard, and there were a fair amount, had joined in the late 1940s and had no prior service. I can see why WWII vets might be reluctant to join, given what they'd just been through.
