Casper Wyoming in the 30's

Fascinating look at this town, in the 1930s, with a jump to 1951 at the end.

I can recognize a lot of places, but some I can't. The old airport shown in this film is now a subdivision, and ceased being the airport after World War Two when the United States granted the Air Base that had built during the war to the county.

The big horse show on the grounds of Natrona County High School is really interesting, and a huge surprise. I'd never have guessed the track and football field were used for that, or that there would have been so many participants. And interesting presence of cavalrymen of the 115th Cavalry in that show, quite a few of which were high school students at that time.
